Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
light:
- tolerant of most light levels in the home
- variegated varieties may need more light to sustain leaf patterning
- will grow significantly faster in brighter light
water:
- water approximately every 1-2 weeks (less frequently in a darker spot)
- tolerant of drought, will visibly wilt as it becomes dehydrated
- better to keep too-dry than too-wet
soil:
- pothos are not picky, but the more aeration your soil has the better
- these plants do not mind being root bound
- may be kept in the same pot for a few years (especially if fertilized)
growth notes:
- pothos will climb if given the opportunity
- smaller new growth could indicate lack of nutrients
- loss or yellowing of old growth could indicate lack of nutrients
all plants are potted in a plastic nursery pot
